My Heartsound


You are the mirror of my soul,
I do not often see you with my eyes,
But often feel you in my heart.

We rarely speak, but communicate with our thoughts,
Our memories, and the love that has no end.
I don't understand what happened to us
Or why we turned our hearts away.

To me our world would never end,
To me our hearts, and our souls would always be,
So much did we share, yet our world had faded,
Whatever I did that had made you unhappy,
I am sorry and wish that I could have
Prevented our hearts from searching,

I know I have hurt you and caused you pain,
But sometimes we have to lose what we most love,
To understand what we should have treasured.

I know I can't undo the heartrending,
But time can heal what has been done,
Know that my love is always there for you;
For you I would do anything,
As you would do for me.
For you are my Heartsound,
As I am yours.
